The Danish Defence
Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO) plans to put out a tender for a
framework agreement
regarding the
acquisition of:
• a number of different weapon sights to be used with
different weapon types
• observation/surveillance optics such as binoculars
and spotting scopes
• tactical lasers to be used with the different weapon
types
• related accessories and spare parts.
Alongside the
procurement of modern sighting and observation equipment that will meet the
current standards and user
requirements, it is
one of DALO’s goals to achieve as high a compatibility level as possible
between different systems for a
given weapon platform
as well as between systems for different platforms. At the same time, it is
DALO’s goal to minimize
the logistics
required for future procurement and maintenance of the material, without
compromising the final setup’s
quality.
Therefore, DALO is
looking for information on how to structure a possible future tender. The
purpose of this request for
information is to
understand how the best possible tender can be arranged both for DALO and the
suppliers according to
the EC tender
regulation.
DALO expects the resulting
contract to be in the form of a framework agreement, understood as an agreement
under
which DALO can obtain
additional units, spare parts, training and technical support, e.g. for
modification, upgrading and
technology upgrades
or replacements.
